Artist Statement:

Fashion and textiles is the main inspiration for my work. I enjoy combining the two materials together, metal serves as the main structure for the piece and the fabrics offers the tactile quality. Wearable objects are a consistent and central theme throughout my work. In my current work I seek to create a dialogue between the two materials so that neither is dominant but instead can work harmoniously. In this way the piece functions on two levels - as jewellery and as art.
