Artist Statement:
The language I speak is that of jewelry. I look at things with the eyes of a jewelry-maker, into detail. I magnify details, I zoom in on them. My work is inspired on Dutch traditions and costumes. The pieces refer to the demise of traditions, the traditional fishing industry and crafts but also to my personal background. |
