Artist Statement:

Marian Hosking is an educator, jeweller and silversmith. She regularly exhibits her work in Australia, and internationally. Currently heading the Metals and Jewellery Studio at Monash University, Melbourne within the Faculty of Art and Design, she has been an educator in her field for over thirty years. With the benefit of intensive practice she has developed a personal vocabulary in her work to express a specific vision and interpretation of the qualities of Australian light and landscape, she favours the soft white sheen of silver, with its evasive highlights and shifting shadows.
