Artist Statement:

My pieces are informed by a certain theme which usually preoccupies me for two to three years. In "Landscape and Garden" I'm interested in human interventions in nature and the drawing of boundary lines in the widest sense. "Ears and Tears" has to do with listening and the shape of the ear as a fascinating body that can be viewed from various angles.

The neck ring "Sunrise" (1999) and the arm bangle "River" (1999) both stem from my work on the theme "Horizon". Here I was interested in the way that celestial moods can be translated into color.
