Artist Statement:
Sim Luttin's current work considers notions of landscape, beauty, nostalgia, impermanence and passing time. Motivated by the deterioration of memory and how this is represented nostalgically through objects, Luttin's work comprises jewelry and objects, some made one a day over one year, while other pieces are made laboriously over time, which attempt to reflect the repetition in landscape and our everyday. |
